Everyone loves seeing the sun shining in through their windows, right? Well, in these cold months of the year, that might be true, but come summertime with expensive cooling bills, you might wish the sun wasn’t heating up your home quite as much. One solution to this problem is window films. The purpose of window films is to filter out the sunlight so it doesn’t affect the temperature in your home as much. If you want to be able to take advantage of the sun’s heat in the colder months, you can choose to install a temporary or semi-permanent film which can be removed when needed. It is, however, important to be careful when removing the film since you could damage your window if you do it improperly. For the most part, the only tools you should need are alcohol on a swab and a straight razor blade. Temporary films are fairly inexpensive, so if you plan on removing the film for parts of the year, this might be the best option for you.
